WHY AM I RUNNING
Anthony is running for City Council because he refuses to sit idle while others seek this title for position and to enrich their pockets, not Anthony! He much rather do what he has always done, which is to take control of the narrative and lead. “Council member”, along with every other elected position in this country isn’t a path to power but a path to SERVE THE PUBLIC, serve the needs of all constituents, despite your party choice we are all RED, WHITE, AND BLUE, despite color, race, gender, income bracket we all have needs that deserve to be met and Anthony is here to serve all!
Anthony vows to work in the best interest of the public in his district. Anthony is running to passionately represent the communities of Bay Ridge, Coney Island, and Seagate in Brooklyn's 47th Council District, a place he proudly calls home as a lifelong resident. His upbringing, shaped by the challenges of being raised by a single mother who worked full-time and pursued an education at John Jay College, has fueled his determination to be the advocate the district needs.
Anthony's life experiences has brought forward his natural fighter's spirit. Anthony rejects the notion of dividing the people for the empowerment of others. We must work together, show up, sit at every table so our voices are heard and demands are met. Anthony firmly believes that everything in life is earned, and this philosophy guides his approach to public service. From his role as a combat leader in the Army's infantry to his dedication to his children's education and the unwavering support he provides to the community, Anthony exemplifies positive leadership.
Anthony's bid for City Council is fueled by a sincere aspiration to instigate positive transformations, drawing on his practical experiences to advocate for essential changes. Anthony consistently emphasizes that he doesn't require a visit to NYCHA for insights into the community's needs, nor does he need to traverse the district to recognize the prevalence of litter and overgrown weeds from Seagate to Stilwell. Anthony knowing bay ridge has lived through the change of going from a neighborhood where house and car doors could be left unlocked to crimes skyrocketing.Where 86th Street continues to be obscured by motorbikes, double and triple-parked cars, and the rising challenge of homelessness claiming the sidewalks. Anthony understands seniors and disabled concerns to reliable transpiration and more. These issues are known because he is an everyday New Yorker living in this district.
Anthony’s philosophy revolves around the values of hard work, earned success, and a steadfast commitment to addressing the genuine concerns of the residents he aspires to represent. Anthony envisions himself as the dependable, hands-on leader that the district requires in the City Council.
